(Very Early) Spring 2008
The White Hart folk club continues to meet every Saturday night with a varied and increasing selection of regulars, although new attenders are always made very welcome.
Our first guest night this quarter is March 15th and it is Mary Humphries & Anahata. The last time they came to the club it was a full house and rightly so as they are brilliant. They perform traditional songs and between them play a variety of instruments.
April 5th we are joined by Jim Bainbridge who has been on the scene for many years and is a fine singer and musician.
Hissyfit alias Linda Kelly and Hazel Richings are on May 10th. They sing their own songs based on traditional values and produce beautiful close harmonies.
On the festival front, we had a fantastic result from the two Black Bull Benders last year; we raised £6700 which was divided between St. Catherines Hospice, Scarborough and Butterwick Hospice, Stockton. This was an all time record and the Wilkinson family would like to thank everybody for coming to these events and very much appreciate everybody's support and much needed help (for this years dates see Who's On or contact the family for more information).
